Centric Retail Software introduces Tap to Pay functionality

Gouda, July 2, 2026 – Centric is expanding inPosition Mobile POS with Tap to Pay functionality. Thanks to an integration with payment provider Mollie, retailers can now accept contactless payments without the need for physical payment terminals.

InPosition is Centric’s intuitive point-of-sale (POS) software that brings sales channels together in a single, up-to-date overview to ensure a consistent shopping experience, both in-store and online. With the new functionality, consumers can check out anywhere in the store without a physical payment terminal. Customers simply pay with a contactless debit card or digital wallet, after which the payment is securely processed via Mollie.

By adding payment functionality to mobile POS devices, store associates have more freedom on the retail floor. They can assist customers and process payments immediately, without having to rely on a fixed register. This allows retailers to deploy staff more flexibly and organize the checkout process more efficiently. For consumers, this means shorter wait times and the ability to pay anywhere in the store.
